CLEAN WATER FOR EVERY CHILD

Bringing water instead of school. Tilalem is a strong girl. Three times a week she gets up early and takes her hours-long walk to the only water source in her area.

Tilalem and her mother have to do so for their family. When bringing water, Tilalem can’t attend school and misses important content of her class.

ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER SHOULD BE TAKEN FOR GRANTED

Every child is entitled to clean and secure water. Because contaminated water often causes deadly diseases. United Internet for UNICEF supports water projects by UNICEF. They can help, for instance, to provide drinkable water in the Philippines’’ destroyed areas after the typhoon, to set up toilets and to educate about hygiene.

Especially during emergencies good hygiene is vital: The children of Tacloban sing “Happy Birthday” twice when washing their hands. “This is the exact time they need for proper hand washing.” a teacher explains.

We need your support to keep on building wells and filling tanks. Worldwide around 768 million people have no access to clean water.

Together with the United Internet for UNICEF Foundation UNICEF helps people in over 100 countries with clean water and educates about proper hygiene.
